Using eBay integration you can add/edit/delete buy it now listings on eBay. Currently we do not support the check out process (all information will require entering into the Brightpearl system manually). In the future we hope to automatically be able to fetch information about buyers.
- Enabling eBay integration on you account
- Browse to Setup ->Defaults -> eBay, Switch 'integrate products with eBay?' to Yes.
- Enter your eBay username and click 'Get a token for this username.'
- Login to eBay using your account credentials.
- Click 'I Agree' on the page - this allows us to access your account for listing purposes.
- You will now be transfered to a page that contains your username and a Token. Press the Select All button, and then press Ctrl + C on your keyboard (alternatively right click the text and press copy).
- Return back to the eBay integration setup page, paste your token into the 'eBay token' box (Ctrl + V, or right click the box and click paste).
- Save changes
eBay is now enabled for your account.
- Adding a product
Once a product has been added it can removed/added from the product listing view in Brightpearl.
- Browse to the product you wish to add then click the eBay tab.
- Select the eBay category you wish for it to be listed under (select the lowest child category).
- Enter your item title
- Select the gallery type - Featured lists your item at the top of the page, and gallery includes a picture with your listing - both of which you are charged extra for.
- Enter the image URL if you've chosen Featured or Gallery, it will already be filled out with the items image.
- Enter a description of the product.
- Enter the buy it now price for the product - which the user will pay.
- Select whether you require immediate payment (this means the item is not 'sold' to the user until they pay). Therefore you won't get any unpaying buyers. You require a paypal business account for this however.
- Enter the item location.
- Select the shipping method, if yours is not listed select other.
- Is shipping insurance required or optional, also enter the insurance cost (0 for none).
- Select the payment method (only Paypal at current).
- Enter your paypal email along with any shipping/return instructions in the 'special instructions' box.
- Enther the quantity of items you are selling and how long you wish for them to be listed on eBay.
- Save the page! Your item should now be listed on eBay, if not you will receive a popup with any errors.
- Editing a product
- Browse to the product you wish to add then click the eBay tab.
- If the item is no longer listed on eBay you will have the option to relist, else you will have the option to edit.
- Simply make any changes and save, you will be presented with any errors regarding your edit on the next page.
- Deleting a product
- A product can be removed from eBay by using either the 'eBay' button whilst viewing the product list in Brightpearl, or by navigating to the eBay tab and selecting 'Remove' and then saving.
